پاسخ جنبش مقاومت جندالله به اتهامات واشنگتن تایمز
To,
Dear editor
THE WASHINGTON TIMESU.S.ASubject:
Jundullah Rejects the Allegations Made in Washington TimesIt is with reference to the article written by Mr. Raza Khan entitled “Taliban eyes new allies, Pakistani militants may court Iran foes” published in your newspaper (Washington Times) on Thursday, July 9, 2009.Mr. Khan in his aforementioned article has attributed some allegations to the People Resistance Movement of Iran (Jundullah). The allegations besides tarnishing our organization’s image as a progressive movement which is acting only in self-defence, have created concerns and strains in Pakistan and Afghanistan as Mr Khan claims that PRMI is operating From Pakistan and Afganistan as well as has relations with Taliban and Al Qaeda. The PRMI is seriously worried about such baseless accusations which have potential for unwanted conflicts in the already disturbed region. We categorically announce that the PRMI neither is operating from Pakistan and Afghanistan nor it has any contact with extremist organizations such as Al Qaeda and Taliban as our aims and objectives are different. The PRMI is struggling for democracy and human rights in Iran. Its main political strategy is to work with other Iranian opposition groups (inside or outside) for restoring the citizenry rights of all Iranian religious and ethnic groups including the Sunnites and the Baluch who are currently the main target of systematic oppression of the theocratic regime of Iran. To inform you that only in one case on July14, 2009 13 Balouch young men were executed by the theocratic regime of Iran in Baluchistan. We are determined to stop the mass-butchery of the Blouch people by the Iranian regime as this is our legal rights endorsed by universal human rights instruments including the United Nations Conventions and Universal Declarations of Human Rights. It is also our legal right to defend ourselves with the same strategy, tools and equipment that our enemy uses against us.However, our long term objective is to work for the establishment of democratic Iran where all citizens, no matter to which ethnic groups or religious sects they belong, have equal rights under a Federal System; and their rights regarding self-determination is respected too. Also it is mentioned in the article that a Peshawar- based journalist namely Ashtrf Ali has told the Washington Times: “… given Jundallah's historical connections with al Qaeda and the Taliban, Taliban militants led by Baitullah Mehsud and his Al Qaeda allies might seek refuge in Pakistan's Baluchistan province or join the ranks of Jundallah". It seems that you have made an identity mistake possibly mixing up our organization with another group bearing synonymous name. We also have learnt about a group namely Jundullah that has operated or might be still operating in the region. Finally, your newspaper is morally and legally is bond to publish our response in full on the same page.People Resistance Movement of IranFormer JUNDULLAH
